Taylor Swift Steals Grammy Nominations Show by Doing Her Best Miley Impression

Eye Roll 18

taylor swift grammy nominationsThe stars came out for the announcement of nominations for the 56th annual Grammy Awards, putting on a concert worth clucking about today. And while the event featured notable performances from stars like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Taylor Swift is being given the honor of having stolen the show with a.) being nominated for best album of the year and best country album, among other accolades and b.) giving a sultry performance of "I Knew You Were Trouble" in Australia via satellite. A performance that's being called "her most risqué antic yet!"

Granted, she jumped the gun by profusely thanking the Recording Academy for all her nominations in a pretaped segment before any of her nominations were actually announced, and the performance was one she's done a whole slew of times before on her Red tour, but no matter! She was still the belle of the ball!

Taylor kicked off her jaw-dropping appearance by singing "Red" then cut to "I Knew You Were Trouble," performing in a church-y setting in a flowing white dress while a masquerade ball of dancers surrounded her. Her backup dancers then ripped off her dress, revealing a black jumpsuit of Daisy Duke proportions that she then grinded and shimmied around in. The crowd went wild. (And they say she's nothing like Miley, psssh!)

What a way to slam ex Harry Styles publicly for the 524th time, huh? Plus, guess there's no better revenge than being on top of the world!

What did you think about Taylor's performance last night?

At least Taylor has class and can sing.

I didn't think that was too bad. She was fully clothed. No tush hanging out n no dropping it like its hot in front of other ppl. She's been doing stuff like that for her shows all year. Don't get why this is news.

This isnt news. Why do you hate so hard on Taylor Swift? Id rather have my children looking up to her vs Miley. Please rethink your career in journalism.

That's not even close to what Miley did. She had clothes on, her tongue was in her mouth, and she can sing. I actually thought it was a really good performance.

This isn't the first time she's performed that song on TV before. I can't remember what awards show it was when she came out in a white fancy dress singing that sing and ripped it off to reveal a black "edgier" outfit.

She's done this specific performance many, many times. It's the routine for the song on her tour that's been going on for almost a year. Why do you care now?

How is this even remotely close to the kind of "performance" that Miley Cyrus puts on? I didn't see a little person or a twerking unicorn anywhere on the stage.

I can't stand Taylor Swift, so I'm glad I missed the Awards!

Another day, another Taylor bashing "article". Surprise surprise! And I don't know how many times it needs to be stated that the song is not about Harry, since the album was recorded pre-Harry!

I think you took a cheap shot at an unlikely target to get an easy (i.e. unearned) paycheck Ms. Brown. Taylor is a young lady with unplumbed depth's to her talent & writing skills. The awards from her peers back that statement up. Miley is a sad, loud, uncouth hellion of a girl without an ounce of talent in a body everyone has already seen. She is every bit the lowlife her daddy was throughout his 15 minutes of fame. Can't imagine what she'll do to keep the public eye on her once her brand of shock rock has run out of new tricks. Those statement are also backed up by a lack of awards from her peers!
