Where are my fellow fans of gripping political dramas starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright that can be binge-watched over the course of two sleepless days thanks to Netflix's glorious release policy? That's right, I'm talking about House of Cards, and if you love this show as much as I do, you are going to FALL OFF YOUR CHAIR when you see the brand new season 2 trailer.
I mean, it's like nothing I've ever seen before in the history of teaser promos. It's moody, it's in black and white, and it's ... well, god, it's just really hard to describe. Since we're all dying to know what's going to happen next between Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood and his wife Claire, House of Cards seriously delivered the goods with this clip.
Are you ready for this? Because once you press play, there's no going back -- you can't unsee what I'm about to share.
Okay, if you're truly prepared, here's the just-released trailer for season 2 of House of Cards:
CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THAT SHIT OH MY GOD MY MIND IS LITERALLY EXPLODING THIS THING GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP WHO COULD HAVE PREDICTED SUCH A SHOCKING --
Okay, okay, I've had my fun. That was ... yeah, wow, that was 30 seconds of Robin Wright sitting in a dark room smoking a cigarette. But! There really is one great revelation with the clip: it's titled 02.14.14, and Netflix has confirmed they're going to make the entire second season available at once on that date. In other words: Best. Valentine's. Day. EVER.
Here's the official description of season 2:
Reporter Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) is inching closer to the truth about Francis' crimes. Billionaire presidential adviser Raymond Tusk (Gerald McRaney) demands that Francis reciprocate political favors or face retribution, and Claire must confront the increasing glare of the spotlight as it eats away at her and Francis' once private existence. The Underwoods must overcome these dangers -- past and present -- to avoid losing everything, regardless of collateral damage they leave in their wake.
Well, Netflix just went and proved they could release a video that shows absolutely nothing and I'll still get super excited about it. I'm pretty sure I've never said this before in my entire life, but I can't wait for Valentine's Day.
Are you looking forward to season 2 of House of Cards?
