Agghhhhh, I can’t even handle it! Will Ferrell, one of the funniest people alive on the planet right now, got into full Ron Burgundy Anchorman character and cohosted the evening news on a local channel in Bismarck, North Dakota.
The actor and comedian is currently promoting Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, the sequel to his 2004 instant cult classic. He donned his signature hideous suit to cohost the weekend news with Amber Schatz, who usually anchors alone.
He awkwardly read off the teleprompter and of course added some of his own colorful commentary.
At one point, he told Amber she looked lovely and asked if she were married. She giggled no, and he deadpanned, “Well I am, so don’t get any ideas.”
He was also very impressed that firefighters used 500 gallons of water and foam to put out a trash fire in the Sam’s Club parking lot and, during the sports segment, commented, “I’ve never seen fighting in a hockey match before. That was fascinating.”
There is nothing I don’t love about this story.
