A Capella Version of 'Little Drummer Boy' Will Blow Your Mind & Give You Chills (VIDEO)

Love It! 58

pentatonix little drummer boyThis is my first time hearing anything from Pentatonix, and I have to say after hearing this version of "Little Drummer Boy" ... what an introduction! Those voices! I'm in awe. A capella singing has managed to rock my world twice in one week. First time it was a student chorus of Lorde's "Royals."

Pentatonix is an a capella group hailing from Arlington, Texas. There are five vocalists: Scott Hoying, Kirstie Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan, and Kevin Olusola. They are incredible. And while I am hesitant to be all ready to hear any holiday music, 'tis the season, my friends. This is a song worthy of hearing any and all times of the year -- it's that amazing.

The harmonizing! The shared lead! It's so fitting they are on the tip-top of a mountain because they truly all sound like angels. I need to have my father hear this ... he loves torturing the family with tired holiday music, but if it were Pentatonix holiday music, it wouldn't be torture at all.

What do you think of this version of "Little Drummer Boy"?

It's really beautiful, but I had to stop watching and just listen. I wish they wouldn't do the stupid crap with their faces. They don't need to! It's soooo distracting!

I LOVE pentatonix! They are so talented. I watched them on their season of the Sing-Off and then saw them in concert last summer. So so good.

You should look up their version of "Carol of the Bells." It's stunning.

LOL, I called my son over before I played the video because he likes this kind of thing too, and we immediately recognized the band from the Disney Channel!! They sing some Teen Beach Movie song versions on Disney. Beautiful song, though, thanks for sharing.

I love these guys and all their work, to the person tho who said they need to not do stuff with their faces...its how they sing, they get into it, it wouldn't be them if they just stood there looking blank.

Well.... this is one of my all time favorite songs. And although, it's to each his own, I honestly really didn't like this version. Sorry.... And the facial expressions.... kind of creeped me out too. I did watch all of it... although they do sing well with supposedly no music, they did well. Just not a fan of this version.

They won The Singoff a few years ago. They're amazing. I hope all this exposure they're getting brings the show back. I loved it.
