I love the Real Housewives of Orange County. Go ahead and make fun of me! I know it's totally wrong. The ladies on the show do not live on the same planet most of us do but I love them! Bravo's Orange County mama drama is a huge hit and the network has spun off the concept to other cities like New York and Atlanta. But the Real Housewives of OC is one of my guilty pleasures!
The new season started a couple of weeks ago but it's already getting really juicy! There's a new blond coming to town and there's going to be a cat fight soon, I just know it.
Tamra Barney, Vicki Gunvalson and Jeana Keough are still rattled over meeting bombshell Gretchen Rossi. Tension is going to escalate even more when a new housewife, Lynne Curtin, attempts to join the clan!
Old pals Jeana and Vicki have a growing rift between them because of Jeana's opinion of Vicki's ex-husband. Jeana defended Vicki's ex-husband, which set Vicki off! Wild woman Vicki is still bitter about her ex but Jeanna told her she shouldn't be. SNAP!
Is this show one of your faves? Or do you think they are just too over the top to be entertaining?

Okay, I've gotta say I've completely missed the rift between Jeana and Vicki over Vicki's ex.
Gretchen is cute, but, did you see where she was complaining to her boyfriend's 19 year old daughter about caring for him because he is sick? I was screaming about this at Thanksgiving. I can't imagine - I know these things are edited but she said it and that can't be faked. Then I went online and read that he died in September of this year. He really was sick. My husband was sick and very nearly died before we got married. I spent ridiculous hours in the hospital with him. But I would never DARE to complain to any of his children.
What do you think of that?
I have to say I do not watch this show or actually any show that is drama filled. I actually do not watch alot of TV unless it is a special or a help show for me or my family. TV to me is dead time. You are sitting on your rear end probably eating and telling the kids to be quiet and put off phone calls to someone that may need you. SO, I choose not to for myself. I have 5 kids at home and I work full time and I spend alot of time in the floor coloring and reading books with my little ones.
Just more important to me plus, I am sure to hear about it from the girls in the office the next morning.
I like it so far, but I'm having a hard time catching it. the show is further proof that lots of money does not make you a better person.

I really see it two-sided, on the one hand these woman have lifes (great ones I must say ) and even with all the drama in their lives they do seem to take the time to LIVE LIFE which is what must of us should be doing just because we become mother's doesn't mean we forget to live because when they hit 18-21 they are going to forget all we did and LIVE their lifes as though we never mattered but on the other hand, these woman are vain at times and a few are also self-centered however I'm not sure that being self-centered at times and I mean only at times, isn't such a bad thing. And please when I say we need to live our lifes I don't mean forget our children I love my daughter and would take down the stars for her if I could however, we as mother's do tend to forget us in order to become mothers and I'm sure that's not the way motherhood was meant to be lived, life is short and we should take care of our kids but we should also take time for us, leave the kids with a realiable sitter, heck sometimes we even need to leave the husbands home too and just have a day at the spa just for us with no interruptions and if that's considered wrong than I rather be wrong and happy then right and miserable. Just my thoughts and trust me it took me forever to realize their has to be "ME TIME, ONLY ME TIME"!
I love the show! i watched them all but like oc the absolute best!!!! i didnt know vicki got divorced or about gretchens man dying how sad. i love it and cant wait for the new one tonight!!!
i watched all the housewives shows,OC, NY and ATL...my personal favorite was ofcourse the orginal OC and i dindt so much follow with NY but i kinda did with ATL but OC is defiantly my favorite. I cant wait to watch whats new with my favorite ladies tonight.
I love this show, and I love the ladies. The other "real housewives" seasons that they aired, NYC and Atlanta were terrible, no comparison. These ladies are the best !
Oh by far this show is my FAVORITE! I won't go to bed until I've seen it each Tuesday and that drives my husband nuts! LOL! I felt soo bad for Lauri last nite with Josh. That just breaks my heart for him and her and I pray that he can kick his addictions and heal. And as much as Vicki drives me insane, I did feel kinda sorry for her too because I think her & Don have grown so far apart that they have -0- clue how to get it back together.
Did Jeana make a comment about Don or was it about Vicki's first husband? Did I miss something and Vicki and Don are already divorced??
I have decided that Gretchen is interesting.
I love the "Real Housewives Of.." series, but the Orange County wives are my favorite. I have watched every season. I have last night's episode on DVR to watch in a little while. It is my "guilty pleasure". LOL
Even though their lifestyles are way over the top, and though I am not as materialistic as they, I do enjoy "watching". I enjoy their fashion sense and home decor.
This season has started to show that even though these women have come into money, either self-made, (Jeanna & Vicki) or married into it (Tamara & Laurie, and even though not married, Gretchen), these women do have problems in their lives. Jeanna and her divorce, Laurie and her son, Gretchen and her fiancee.
Jeanna has to be my favorite of all, then Laurie. I do not care too much for Tamara, something about her just gets under my skin... LOL Vickie is too hyperactive and needs to slow down. Gretchen is growing on me, I want to see if she is really who/what she is portraying.
However, I can honestly say, I would not trade my life for any one of theirs. My family is blessed to be rich in love. The things that matter in life are those that cannot be bought.
