Chelsea Houska's Accomplishment Makes Other 'Teen Moms' Look Lazy

Love It! 36

chelsea houskaGuess what? Chelsea Houska graduated from beauty school! Champagne toasts all around! Everybody's favorite Teen Mom star enrolled at Black Hills Beauty College in early 2012 and completed the program in record time, graduating on November 15. Houska had a few road bumps along the way, taking a brief break in the fall of 2012 to move out of her house, recover from mono, and have knee surgery, but look at her now! All ready to perform extractions and waxes on yo' face!

I've gotta say, like Papa Randilicious, I'm really proud of Chelsea. She really has made something of herself -- and that's more than we can say for some of the other Teen Moms. After being on the show, some of the girls really haven't done much with their lives. Or they have, but it hasn't exactly been ... admirable (looking at you, Farrah). Not mentioning any names here (coughJenellecough), but it seems like all some Teen Moms do is sit around and tweet all day. ("Just got a Diet Coke!" "OMG, I'm soooooo sleepy!!!!") Or, you know, porn.

So good for you, Chelsea! Glad you followed your dream; glad never got side-tracked or drawn into anything unsavory; and glad you are being a positive role model for your sweet girl, Aubree. And Jenelle and Farrah? Wouldn't kill you to take a page out of this book. Just sayin'.

Who's your favorite Teen Mom?

She may have finished actual beauty school in a decent amount of time but it took her forever to buckle down and get serious and actually get her g.e.d. and get into school. She didn't do anything great, her enabling daddy did it all for her and none of the other teen moms (with the exception of Farrah) have parents that will throw money at them and never allow them to grow up and take responsibility for themselves.

Good for her that she can finally get a job and support herself and that's great that it's something she can enjoy but to say the other teen moms are lazy compared to her is ridiculous. She is just as lazy and unmotivated.

Denise Briones

She had a LOT of family support. Many girls do not.

Agreed Denise. Thats the.point. so many teen.moms are alone and sadly everyone suffers.

She should be proud.of herself. Congrats.

Wow! Beauty school is a joke, everyone knows cosmetologist make minimum wage and have a difficult time finding jobs in the beauty industry. Beauty school is hardly an accomplishment. Try getting a real degree sweetheart!

Samantha Ghent

beauty school is a joke? it is hardly an accomplishment? It was what she dreamed of doing and she did it. Not everyone needs a "real" degree to be happy "sweatheart". stop hating.

Michelle Stephens

I am glad she got her degree and her little girl is precious but she had a father to bail her out when she needed a new place she ran to dad he helped her alot some parents don't have that.

Try going to nursing school! Now that's an accomplishment! And people with real degrees make the most money. Her certificate is nothing to hate on.

As a hairstylist and someone who holds a medical degree I am the only one qualified to make a statement. I know more hairstylists that make double to triple more than nurses. Women like you are the ones that gives the industry a bad name. It's a very lucrative career. Medical is not the only job out there. And I know from experience because I tried it out. It isn't that great. Hair designing is awesome! Go Chelsea!

Some of these comments are disgusting. Good for her! Sure she has a really supportive family that helped her achieve her goal that some of the other teen moms don't have. Give her some credit- she could have just sat on her butt all day and she didn't. Now she can go out and get a job and  support herself and her daughter. Chelsea should be proud of herself- good job!
