Not the photoshopped imageFiltering your Instagram photo to make the lighting look better is one thing. But photoshopping an image of yourself? It appears images on former Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr's Instagram have been photoshopped. Eagle-eyed fashion writers have been comparing photos of Kerr with the same photos as posted on her Instagram and... oh dear, it does indeed look as if someone has been doing a bit of tinkering.
In fact, Kerr regrammed an altered version of a photo from the 2012 Victoria's Secret just a few days ago. Two photos in her own Instagram stream -- what on Earth is she thinking? And why does someone with her body feel the need to make herself look even thinner, anyway?!?
Kerr says she had "no idea" this was happening. Seriously, that's what she's saying. Here's what she said via Instagram:
Hi guys, here is the original VS image! When I re-posted the photo this week to support the girls I screen grabbed it off the internet when I was working in Japan. I had no idea it was photoshopped. All good intentions- sorry for the confusion and congratulations to the girls for such a great show!
Hmm... do we believe her? I think it would be easier to buy if there weren't a couple other clearly photoshopped images elsewhere in her Instagram stream. Then again, if she's just grabbing images off the Internet on the fly, it could happen. Except in this case she happened to grab an image in which she was altered to look slimmer, but the other two models in the photos were untouched.
Do you think Miranda Kerr deliberately photoshopped images of herself on Instagram, or were they all accidents?
