Chris Brown Leaving Rehab After Only 2 Weeks Is Recipe for Disaster

Two weeks isn't usually enough time for a child to learn how to ride a bicycle. It's not enough time to settle into a new home or learn enough about a new boyfriend or girlfriend to decide whether you want to take things to the next level. And in no way is two weeks enough time for Chris Brown, who has been dealing with anger issues for years, to acquire the life skills he needs to prevent himself from punching someone in the face again.

Yes folks, it's been 16 days and Rihanna's ex has already ditched his residential rehab program. His gal pal Karrueche Tran, pictured with him here, says she hopes he can now focus on their budding love. But, oh girl, I would argue your man still has way more work to do on himself first.

So I guess we should give Chris credit for voluntarily checking himself into rehab in late October, but it's not like the singer had much of a choice. The day before he entered, he had been released from jail for punching a man outside the W Hotel in Washington, D.C. He also came under fire after losing it on parking attendant over a valet charge and got into a brawl with singer Frank Ocean over a freaking parking spot.

Not exactly the way you want to impress judges while you're still on parole for repeatedly punching Rihanna in the face back in 2009.

Yet this dude continues to enjoy redemption. From fans. From music critics and those who bestowed upon him a Grammy Award. I'm not a fan, but I hear he's an amazing performer. Good for him. But the odds are against him lasting as long as some would hope if he keeps making the same mistakes over and over again.

Maybe it's an addiction and he can't help it. He honestly may have NO IDEA what to do when the anger begins bubbling up inside of him. But he's a grown man. He needs to treat this problem like someone severely addicted to drugs should treat his. Two weeks isn't enough time. Though I get that he's agreed to attend an outpatient program, will he actually dedicate himself to going?

Because the man hasn't proved he's exactly the "follow through" type. He was directed by a judge to complete 1,000 hours of community service after his Rihanna conviction and still hasn't gotten around to it yet. So, I dunno, maybe he needs to be in a more controlled environment? Ya think?

Do you think two weeks is long enough for Chris Brown to gain control over his anger issues?
