I hate to do it, but this news deserves one helluva SQUEEEEEEE! Get ready, people. Maksim Chmerkovskiy is returning to Dancing With the Stars, and you won't believe when it's happening. Are you ready?
Next week. As in this coming Monday. As in he's going to be a guest judge sitting alongside Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Bruno Tonioli for the semifinals. Please excuse me while I try and contain my excitement. This just might be the best thing I've heard all week.
I have to admit, I was a bit bummed when Maks didn't show up last week as a member of Val Chmerkovskiy and Elizabeth Berkley's trio performance. I was half expecting him to pop up and surprise us all by putting Elizabeth smack dab in the middle of a Chmerkovskiy sandwich. (No such luck.)
Man. That would've been awesome. But at least he's making an appearance on Monday's show, right? Better late than never.
Something tells me he's going to be pretty serious with his commentary and won't go too easy on any of the remaining contestants. And it will be particularly interesting to hear his critique of Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff, well -- since he was engaged to Karina back in the day. (Remember that? It really happened.)
But I guess it is sort of a bummer that he won't get to give his opinion of Val and Elizabeth. It would've been kind of fun to see whether or not he cut his bro any sort of slack -- though somehow I'm guessing he would've put the family ties aside for the evening.
OMG. I'm already so fired up about this and we still have four more days to go. Bring it, Maks.
Are you excited about Maks' return to DWTS?
