'Shahs of Sunset' Recap: Lilly Needs to Leave the Birthday Party Drama Behind

The Shas of Sunset were back this week with even more glimpses of their maturity. From working together to settling down to taking care of their pets' bowel needs (did we really need to see that?) and designing miraculous spiritual water, they are getting their acts together ... at least in some ways.

Then there was the whole subject of Lilly's birthday party still brewing from last week, which was handled with anything but maturity. It was brought up not only in conversation between GG and Mercedes "MJ" Javid, but during a group dinner, where Lilly brought it up directly to MJ. In front everyone, a full-on argument ensued -- because we all knew the issue was nowhere near resolved.

The others were all dragged into it (how could they not be, they're all at the same dinner table?!), and it seems that GG is the only one on Lilly's side. From there, the gold jewelry came off, and bickering words flew back and forth across the table. Lilly ended up leaving in the end.

Side note: GG brought her boyfriend to meet her friends for the first time; poor guy had no idea what he's getting himself into.

Is the lack of MJ's RSVP really worth all the drama? For God's sake it was an e-vite! I thought that was only a thing on the Internet circa 1999. Supposedly Lilly followed up with other attendees who didn't respond, and in woes of frustration, she admits she and MJ aren't even friends. So why was MJ invited in the first place?

I'm not sure what Lilly was looking to accomplish by bringing up her birthday. If she really needed to address it, couldn't she have done it without the whole group around? And even though this "battle of boobs," as Asa Soltan Rahmati described it, seems to leave the group in a dramatic divide, I think MJ came out on top. Yeah, a courteous RSVP would have been nice, but then again, Lilly reaching out to confirm would have been more fun for everyone. Mike Shouhed even said it! So here we go. The group is taking sides, and it looks as if this RSVP faux pas is just the start of the drama this season!

Are you Team Lilly or Team MJ?
