Latest Upsetting 'Glee' News Means It's Definitely Time for a Change

Glee Lady Gaga/ Katy Perry EpisodeThere's nothing like a good Lady Gaga ballad to get the kids at McKinley High fired up on Glee. On last week's episode, "A Katy or a Gaga," the cast took on hits like Gaga's "Applause" and "Marry the Night" as well as Katy Perry's songs "Roar" and "Wide Awake." But even with the extra oomph of these two female pop superstars, it seems Glee is struggling this season. Glee's ratings fell to tie the show's all-time low, with only four million viewers. Ugh, how upsetting.

What's even worse? "A Katy or a Gaga" had 46 percent less viewers than the Cory Monteith tribute episode. Could Glee without Cory Monteith be doomed? I wouldn't go that far, but it's definitely time for a change.

The good news? Rumors of change are everywhere. We've heard that Glee could be moving to New York City entirely (very, very soon) and that Lea Michele may be getting a spinoff of her own. I think this ratings drop shows how critical some sort of mix-up really is for the show, which is set to end after season 6 as it is.

Plain and simple: Fans are still mourning the loss of one of the show's greatest characters, and now they're looking for something new -- something to help them move on. Bring on the Big Apple, I say. Because I don't know about all of you, but I just wanna hear Lea Michele belt out some hits.

Would you want to see the Glee writers drop McKinley altogether?
