This Sunday, The Walking Dead is continuing its streak of season 4 show titles that begin with the letter I. Episode 2 was "Infected," last week was "Isolation," and this week it's "Indifference." (The naming convention continues, by the way, into episode 5, "Internment.")
The synopsis for our next episode doesn't exactly give anything away -- I mean, we could all probably surmise that based on what happened last week, "The supply mission faces hurdles; the situation at the prison worsens.” However, we do have some promo clips to analyze in order to make some guesses about what's going to unravel this Sunday. Plus, a couple of exclusive photos that show our medicine-seeking veterinary-college posse is still alive and well … for the moment, anyway.
Let's start with the promo clips. Here's the first one, in which Rick and Carol seem to have made their own supply run in search of meds for the disease-ridden prison community:
Oooh, what could be behind that creaking door upstairs? Is it another walker, or is it possible there was an actual survivor holed up in there?
Here's the second clip, which gives us a glimpse at a bloody body being dragged somewhere, by somebody:
I suppose that could be anything, really. A flashback to Karen and David's death by Carol's hands, a new murder altogether, a flu-victim being removed for burial. Or maybe a walker is moving that corpse, although that doesn't seem to jive with typical hunker-down-and-eat zombie behavior.
As for the situation at the prison worsening, I wonder if that means something other than more people getting sick. After all, the Governor is guaranteed to reappear at some point, and creator Robert Kirkman teases that it could be soon:
He could attack at any moment.
Maybe someone within the prison is a spy for the Governor? Maybe that person even engineered the illness somehow?
Also, here's a look at Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese, and Bob Stookey, who were overrun by a massive herd of walkers last week on their way to the veterinary collage:
Seems like they've left the woods and are maybe trying to break into the building, doesn't it? Particularly when you look at this image:
Lastly, if the rumors are true we can expect to meet two new characters in this episode. Here's what little we know so far about Jack and Erin:
Both are in their 20s and described as easygoing and “extremely thin.” Jack’s a bit of a joker, while Erin walks through life with rose-colored glasses.
Maybe that's who Rick and Carol will discover behind that creaking door? It sure SEEMS like you'd be "extremely thin" if you were sharing the upstairs of an abandoned house with a walker.
Do you have any guesses for what will happen in tomorrow's episode?
