It's hard not to like Mackenzie Douthit McKee. The plucky cheerleader who had a baby as a teenager has been one of the reasons Teen Mom 3 is so watchable. But as the season gets closer and closer to the finale, MTV is showing a side of Mackenzie that's hard for any parent to watch. Now in an exclusive clip from the season's 12th episode (which airs tonight on MTV), we get a look at why Mackenzie's own parents are getting close to their breaking point with their daughter.
As Mackenzie and Josh finally figure out how to make their relationship work, they're acting more like teenagers and less like parents to little Gannon. Check it out:
It's hard to know what to say to the Douthits. They've done the right thing by standing by their daughter through her pregnancy and young motherhood, but they can't exactly expect to be steam-rolled by her. She's Gannon's parent! Kid or not, she needs to give up on the fantasy of acting like a normal teenager and flitting about and stay home with her child!
I don't blame the Douthits for treading carefully. With the way Mackenzie is acting, the last thing they need is for her to get mad and stomp away, taking little Gannon with her. That wouldn't be good for anyone, least of all Gannon.

But losing Mackenzie because she gets mad may be the risk they have to take if they want to be grandparents to Gannon instead of parents to their grandson!
What do you think the Douthits should do? Are they too easy on Mackenzie?
