It's kind of crazy (and a tad frustrating) that a show as popular as Downton Abbey is being shown on another continent well before we get to see it here in the U.S. Fans in the U.K. know what we're going to see and, with the Internet being the Internet, it's easy to spoil for yourself what's going to happen. But for some non-spoilery fun, a trailer for season 4 has just been released, and even though it's only 30 seconds, it should be more than sufficient to get you excited.
There have been quite a few rumors going around about some of the more shocking moments to come for season 4, but hopefully you'll be able to avoid what's out there as much as possible so you don't ruin the viewing experience for yourself.
Either way, check out the trailer to get your off-season Downton fix!
Here it is:
Clearly Mary's struggles after the (SPOILERS, sorry) death of her husband Matthew will be one of the focal points of the beginning of season 4. She may have a hard time bonding with her infant son, George -- jeez, how popular is that name going to be in England now? -- because of her constant mourning. But like the Dowager Countess says, she's the one who must choose life or death.
On a lighter note, how wonderful is it to see some diversity finally on this show! Can't wait to check it out and witness for myself how it all comes together. Sadly we have to wait until January 5 (see what I mean about this whole airing-at-different-times thing being totally unfair!), but we'll be on the edge of our seats for any new information until then.
Are you excited for season 4 of Downton Abbey? What are you most looking forward to?
