Jenelle Evans Is in No Place to Be Offering Amber Portwood Advice

GossipMonger 6

Jenelle EvansIt feels like just yesterday Amber Portwood headed to jail after opting out of her drug court-ordered rehab program. After doing crazy well behind bars, the former Teen Mom had her five-year sentence reduced, and is scheduled to be released on November 6 (just a week away!). Naturally, I'm sure Amber's friends and family want her to get her life on track once she's out and focus on being a good mother to daughter Lea. And then there's Jenelle Evans.

Even after Amber spoke out against MTV putting her on Teen Mom back in 2011, Jenelle has some hopeful words for Amber as she finishes her time in the slammer. "I hope that when she gets out, she changes her life around for the better and proves to all of you that SHE CAN DO IT," Jenelle wrote in her blog. "She can stay sober and be a good mother."

Hmmm. Is it just me, or are Jenelle's happy words of encouragement slightly heartbreaking? I mean -- come on girl, maybe you should be a little self-reflective, no?

I'll be real: since Jenelle started dating Nathan Griffith, she's actually been pretty straight edge. Sure, there have been some questionable half-naked Instagrams and a few partying photos, but that's nothing compared to the arrests and drugs she was involved with while dating still-current husband Courtland Rogers.

With that said, though, I'm not exactly sure Jenelle is in the place to be telling other people to stay sober and be a good mother. This is the woman who has been arrested at least eight times now that I can count. I'm sorry, but when you almost need to start using toes to keep track of someone's run-ins with the law, that's a problem.

With that said, best of luck to both Jenelle and Amber. I'm with you Jenelle -- when Amber gets out of the slammer next week, I'm hoping she stays clean.

Do you think Jenelle is in any place to be offering Amber advice?

That doesn't really sound like advice to me, more like she is being optimistic for someone who has gone through a lot and is trying to be a better person and a better mother.

I don't think it was advice but more of encouragement and every one can be encouraging if they want. Jenelle has had her hard times and can relate to Amber so she was just trying to encourage her, nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, she was definitely just offering encouragement and best wishes. Leave it to the authors on this site to turn it into something else.

i feel as if Janelle is in no good place yet of her own to be commenting on Amber's situation! i mean come on Jenelle your mother Barbra still has custody of your kid due to your stupid choices and mistakes... I too was a teen mom but I gave up the teenage life and parting to become a MOTHER!! I would never rely on my mom to raise my kids! you play, you pay... bottom line is ya both need to grow up and become better parents to your children.. stop being selfish and taking life for granted.. and if you aren't perfect and we all know Janelle is NOT PERFECT (No one is) then Pray for her including yourself and zip it..... Get you own LIFE together and your own child back then give advice until then as i said ZIP YOUR LIP!! You are only making an A** out of yourself. Poor Janelle still seeking Fame.. and the only way she can get it is through speeking on other Teen MOM'S you get sober, and stay CLEAN get your KID BACK then someone might listen.. ijs

Janelle is not slating Amber she is offering encouragement to prove to the doubters thst Amber can turn her life around for her daughter just as Janelle is trying to do for her son. I support both mothers in their journey's as motherhood is never esdy. Angie in the UK xxx
