When it comes to life choices, getting a tattoo is a pretty big one. I mean sure, some people get ink done all the time, have sleeves, the whole lot. But regardless, this is something that the lucky inker is stuck with for good (unless they have big bucks to shell out for removal). Which is why today, I'm lookin' at Jenelle Evans. Evans reportedly got a tattoo of Nathan Griffith and her names intertwined on her hip last month. But just last night, she tweeted "I got it tattooed forever in ink, with guess whose name?" and tagged her boyfriend's Twitter username.
We know we know, a line from a Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z song. However, could Jenelle be getting be getting MORE ink with Nathan in mind?
Oh man. I mean, I want things to work out for the two of 'em just because it's about time the Teen Mom star had something good goin' for her. But with her track record ... I'm just not sure if this is a good idea.
Plain and simple: Whether you're Jenelle Evans or some other celeb in the spotlight, it's hard to make a relationship work and last. I mean, with people constantly commenting on the state of things in your personal life, it's easy to allow them to get to you.
With that said, you can't help who you love. It frightens me that Jenelle is so OK with getting her boyfriend's names plastered across her body with no regrets even though some of them (I'm lookin' at you Courtland) treated her absolutely horribly. Yeah, tattoos are a memento of a stage of your life. But does she honestly want to wake up and remember the man who abused her every single day? Yeah, I don't really think so. At the end of the day, commitment is about how you love someone, not whether or not you've inked their name on your right thigh.
Sigh. I can't help wonder: Is Jenelle thinking all of this through? I think we all know the answer to that question, though.
Have you ever gotten a boyfriend or husband's name tattooed on you?
