After various hits about breaking up, a single and adorable music video about getting married, and what seems like months and months of wearing white dresses in anticipation of her made-over wedding, Kelly Clarkson FINALLY married Brandon Blackstock yesterday!
The singer announced the happy news via Twitter today with the over-the-moon happy tweet, "I'm officially Mrs. Blackstock :) We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in TN, the most beautiful place ever!" Awww, yay, Kelly!
I mean, really, you can't help but cheer when it seems like she had to contend with so much drama surrounding the wedding planning. So it's especially heartening to hear that her Big -- but actually very low-key, laid-back -- Day actually turned out to be a dream come true.
Check out the two other pics she shared ...
Wow, right? Kelly couldn't have looked more gorgeous in the Jessamine Temperley lace dress with bell sleeves. So folksy, hippie, romantic, ROCK. I just love the overall look that feels little bit country, a little bit Stevie Nicks, and 100 percent Kelly Clarkson. And she didn't let the designers go unrecognized, following up her big Twitter announcement about the wedding with a shout-out:
Thnx Temperley 4 my beautiful dress! & thank you to my friend
@JimVerraros & Maria Elena 4 the beautiful headpiece!
How cool -- and how true. She looked stunning. It also seems like she and Brandon had a completely idyllic wedding day. They couldn't look any happier.
In the end, it really looks like her decision to scrap their "huge wedding" plans was the right thing. I'm sure their most VIP loved ones were in attendance, and at some point, they'll be celebrating with their nearest and dearest soon. Their close buddy Blake Shelton will sing a tune, and maybe Kelly herself will get up onstage and belt out "Tie It Up." But for now, she looks pretty content with the special, "intimate moment" she and Brandon were able to enjoy on their wedding day. Congrats to the happy couple!
UPDATE: Kelly also shared a video of her "Heavenly Day" with her fans. Check it out ...
What well-wishes would you share with Kelly and Brandon? How did you decide whether to have a big or intimate wedding?
