Robert Pattinson's Beard Is the Hottest Thing We've Seen All Year

Hot! 18

robert pattinsonWell look who's sporting a spiffy new face sweater! It's Robert Pattinson with a beard, ladies and gentlemen. Werk it, Rob, werk that scruff. Rob was photographed sporting something a little more than a 5 o'clock shadow the other day while picking up some takeout (click on the link to see it -- this photo is from a previous fling with facial hair). And we love it! It's not every day that Rob gets scruffy for us, but when he does, unicorns leap through meadows, the sun shines brighter, rainbows fill the sky, and even Grumpy Cat can't help but smirk just a little bit.

Don't get me wrong -- I love the clean-shaven look, and Rob's jawline is worth all the exposure it can get. But scruff is sexy, and that's a fact. It's manly and a little bit dangerous (unless you live in Brooklyn, and then it just makes you a clone). Facial hair = pirates, mountain climbers, arctic explorers, evil geniuses, and Viennese psychotherapists, all with whom I'd like to have sex. Just not at the same time.

And that is why I vote YES on the RPattz beard look. Also because it's probably temporary, a little Halloween treat for us. He's probably not committed to it long-term. He's flirting with it, just like he's flirting with Shoshana Bush. In fact, it might be interesting to see which he sticks with longer, the beard or Shoshana.

And now it's time to speculate why Rob grew out his facial hair. Just because? Or is he trying to distance himself from those Fifty Shades rumors? Nothing says "not playing Christian Grey any time soon" like sportin' a beard. If anything it says, "Don't even think about it, moving on now to my next critically-acclaimed indie movie, thank you very much." Oh well.

Why am I ending on such a sad note? That's effed up. Let's go back to Rob + beard = a good Thursday had by all, okay? Let's end with that in our minds.

What do you think of Robert Pattinson with a beard?
