When you're planning your wedding, it's natural to have visions of an epic appearance by your favorite performer or seeing someone you've always admired (a politician, musician, author) show up as a guest. And usually, those visions are fun daydreams we indulge in for two seconds and then move on. But that wasn't the case for one Australian bride. Determined to make her ultimate wedding day fantasy a reality, Branka Delic created an online campaign to get her famous dream guest's attention. As a result, this past weekend, she found herself being walked down the aisle by a rock star ... Jon Bon Jovi himself! Crazy, right?!
After seeing coverage of Branka's website and Facebook page, Bon Jovi must've decided to make the bride's Big Day by showing up to her nuptials at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas before heading off to perform.
The chapel's actually where Jon himself got married to his high school sweetheart and wife of 24 years Dorothea ... which of course was no mistake. Branka picked it for that reason. Obsessed much?!
Well, at least she's honest about it. As her website, aptly titled BonJoviWalkMeDowntheAisle.com, reads:
[Branka] has two loves in her life ... Gonzo and Bon Jovi ... but not necessarily in that order. ... All her life, Branka thought she would marry Bon Jovi himself. Sadly, at the age of 34 she realised this would never happen, and she accepted Gonzo’s proposal instead. We’re living on a prayer and we want you to come lay your hands on me and walk me down the aisle!
Wow. Just ... wow. It's awesome that Bon Jovi actually showed up and posted a photo of the walk down the aisle on his Twitter, along with a congratulatory message that read "Congratulations @branksd! May you & Gonzalo have a lifetime of happiness, love & memories together – ALWAYS!" But still. Isn't it just a little crazy that this bride seems more in love with him than her own husband?!
Ha, well, at least this Gonzo guy seems cool with his wife's extreme, lifelong crush on Jon. And maybe that's even more reason for her to love -- and to have said "I do" -- to him after all.
What do you make of this wacky wedding story?!
