I think it's safe to say that we all were calling the Bruce and Kris Jenner separation for a while now. I mean, we watched Kris meet up with her old flame on national TV, for Christ's sake. But I'm actually a little disgusted with the latest Jenner separation bombshell. The tabloids are reporting that Kris and Bruce were separated long long before the announcement, but waited to deliver the news until the wrap of season 8 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians. As in, they pretended everything was OK when, in fact, it most certainly was not.
I understand what a public relations strategy is. I understand that the Kardashian mommager had her own thoughts on when the best time would be to reveal the split to the world. But "pretending" that things were great for the E! cameras?!
I think it's safe to say that with so many fragile components of all things Kardashian right now, it's time for the family to get the hell off of reality TV. Period.
This is the way I see it: The family has made a ton of money from airing out their dirty laundry for the entire world to see on E! They have a zillion other side projects going on, endorsement deals, perfumes, and heck -- I wouldn't even be surprised if there's some sort of Kim Kardashian cookie line I'm unaware of.
With that said, they don't need the publicity and the funds that come with season 9. Between what's going on with Kris and Bruce, the drama and possible divorce unfolding with Khloe and Lamar, and Kim and Kanye's new quest for privacy now that they have North -- it just seems natural and appropriate for the family to bid farewell to the constant cameras. It just makes sense.
As of right now, sources reveal that Kris and Bruce's separation is a major plot line for the upcoming season, and well, I'm not all that surprised. It honestly makes me disgusted thinking of how much it's gotta suck to be Kendall and Kylie watching their parents' separation play out on TV.
Please, Kris ... Kim ... Khloe ... all of you. I beg of you. Get out now, and let this thing play out off-camera.
Do you think now is the right time for Keeping Up With the Kardashians to end?
