The drama on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is nothing compared to what was going on behind the scenes. Lisa Vanderpump's devoted hubby Ken Todd claims he was attacked in what can only be described and an incredibly bizarre and scary crime.
The rich restaurateur says that a construction worker went after him with a cement wood chipper and then tried to extort him for $50,000. In a lawsuit Ken filed, he alleges brothers Kevin and David Cazaref were hired to do work on his P.U.M.P Lounge in West Hollywood and trouble began when he saw Kevin using a concrete chipper unsafely. When Ken confronted the big, burly construction worker, he "became enraged, grabbed and violently hurled the heavy concrete chipper" at him ... hurting his hip, leg, and knee.
Scary right? The alleged nightmare didn't end there. David then jumped to his brother's defense and hurled some threats as well and police got involved. They later tried to shake Ken down for $50,000 in exchange for keeping quiet about the whole mess. Now Ken is suing for damages for assault, battery, and extortion.
And I thought the Real Housewives were a hot mess. Who knew they were dealing with even more scandals when the Bravo cameras weren't rolling. But perhaps the fact that every aspect of their lives are so scandalous is what makes them such great reality TV characters. I mean, how many of us regular folks are getting into would-be brawls with construction workers and being bribed? They may be called reality TV stars but nothing about their lives resembles reality as far as most of us are concerned.
Do you think most of what we see on reality TV is scripted? Which Real Housewife is your favorite to watch?
