Round one of The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion has concluded, and as suspected, it was a cat-fightapoolza between Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga; and teeny-tiny cameos by Jacqueline Laurita; Caroline Manzo; and Kathy Wakile, who I think said eight sentences.
Although it seemed like things ended on a positive note between Tre and Melissa this season, come on, guys. We all knew better, right? These ladies will be frenemy-in-laws 'til the day one of them poisons the other's pinot grigio.
And if I may be so frank, I'd like to say that, as a storyline, it's getting kinda old. Good god, enouuugh alreaddddy.
It was as if nothing happened! No Arizona retreat with horse hooves. No Dr. V. I mean, no, the reunion wasn't as cantankerous and, well, insane as it was last year. But the whole time, it was tit for tat with Teresa and Melissa. The same arguments over and over and over again. Zzzzzz. They didn't, for a single nanosecond, seem like they liked each other. Not even a little. In fact, Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga seemed to get along better than their wives.
RHONJ has pretty much become The Melissa and Teresa Show. And, I've gotta be honest here, I'm kinda done, because every week is a repeat. There needs to be a new housewife thrown into the mix, or a talking cat, or something to mix things up. The best part of the reunion, for me, was when Melissa got seeeeriously defensive when people accused her and Teresa of being the Bobbsey Twins. I all but did a spit take with m'vino when she said that she thinks the reason she and Teresa butt heads is because "inside they're so different." Somebody can't be that unaware ... can they?
Anyway. Overall, I give this reunion two thumbs and four paws down. Both my shih tzu and I thought it was a big, fat yawn factory. I literally don't think I can take five more minutes of footage that focuses on Teresa and Melissa, AKA the Bickersons. Until part two of the recap. What can I say, I'm a creature of habit?
What do you think of Teresa and Melissa's arguing?
