Miley Cyrus's Scandalous 'SNL' Skit Makes Twerking & Wrecking Balls Seem Tame

OMG 20

Miley Cyrus hosted Saturday Night Live last night, and there was plenty of tongues wagging, butts twerking and making fun of Republicans -- among other things!

And not only that, but we were also treated to yet another appearance by Miley's pink teddy bear VMA jumpsuit! The show's opener featured two homeless people living in a post-apocalyptic New York City in 2045, reminiscing about what life was like before the government shutdown and Miley's shocking VMA twerkfest that brought down the country.

But the one skit that everyone will be talking about today is the "We Don't Stop" parody. This one is called "We Did Stop" and it was a music video feature Miley as Michelle Bachmann and SNL's Taran Killem as John Boehner, but instead of debating politics on the House floor, they take over the capitol with a raucous house party.

And, well, oh boy ...

It was embarrassing and uncomfortable, but probably the most notable skit in pretty blah night. The "We Did Stop" SNL skit includes lyrics such as:

It’s our party
We can do what we want
It’s our party
We can say what we want
It’s our party
We can stop what we want
We can vote how we want
Defund what we want ...

So you know where this is going ...

Here's Miley as Michelle tonguing Abraham Lincoln, because it's the democratic thing to do.

Miley Cyrus We Did Stop

Here's Michelle and John partying and twerking in the House, yo (watch for a surprise "cameo" from Obama).

And here's Michelle and John partying with Uncle Sam after they just attacked him on the floor.

You just KNOW Capitol Hill is buzzing about this one today!

What did you think of the "We Did Stop" parody? Was it the best part of the show?

Wow! That word is horrible! You talk bad about her but look at the language you just used. @theresaphilly

I was disgusted by that performance and your article...can't tell your political leanings much. Miley gyrating on the floor as Michelle Bachman...wonder if you would have felt this was so awesome if it was Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid in the video (somehow I doubt it). Her making out with Abraham Lincoln? Absolutely gross. A rodeo clown can't wear a B.O. mask, but it's okay for Miley to dress up as a Congresswoman and gyrate on the floor.

This skit was cringeworthy! There was NOTHING FUNNY about this tasteless and disgusting display. As much as I like SNL ( though not sure about this new cast) I had to turn it off in the middle of that fiasco. Not a Miley Cyrus fan to begin with. Listening to that annoying nasal twang of hers for 1.5 hours is more than I could tolerate anyway. Not sure how Liam put up with it for as long as he did. What the hell is wrong with her parents anyway? How can they condone such trashy wanton behavior on stage is beyond me. There is nothing sexy about her twerking or that gross tongue she insists on sticking out.

I thought it was pretty funny. It was supposed to be shocking and to get people talking about it.

I think Miley should be given a forced tongue-ectomy... for the good of the country.

It was hilarious.  I loved every second of it.  I don't know what you could find to hate about the lyrics?  The fact that they were too close to the truth perhaps?
