Gay rumors have dogged Michelle Rodriguez for much of her career. And the Fast & Furious 7 star says she knows why. "I've never walked the carpet with anyone, so they wonder: What does she do with her vagina?" she recently told EW. "Plus, I play a butchy girl all the time, so they assume I'm a lesbo." Now, she's finally setting the record straight -- so to speak.
Turns out, "they're not too far off," she admitted. "I've gone both ways. I do as I please. I am too f--king curious to sit here and not try when I can. Men are intriguing. So are chicks."
In the past, she's been linked with hunky co-star Vin Diesel and has a clearly defined type as far as men are concerned. "I'm attracted to manly men," she once said. "I can't do metrosexuals who get their nails done more than me. Which is why, living in L.A. for eight years, you can't blame me for not having a partner!"
You have to love her candor. There is something refreshing about the fun, light-hearted nature of her comments. It's wonderful that she is so open about her love life with fans. That's a hard thing to do in Hollywood. So many are afraid that if they admit to certain lifestyles, it will ruin their careers. I especially understand that trepidation among male stars who are fearful of not being considered for macho roles if their sexuality were revealed. But it must be such a relief to be honest about who you are. So we tip our hats to Michelle for being so brave, bold, and honest.
