So there's no word yet on when Game of Thrones season 4 will premiere, but that won't stop fans from soaking up every single bit of information they can get about what they might see when the show comes back in spring 2014. Because season 3 was one of the best things ever to grace our television screens, the cast and crew behind Game of Thrones know that whatever they say, we'll eat it up. Take, for example, a recent interview given by hottie Kit Harington, who plays hottie Jon Snow.
When we last saw Jon, he was attacked by a bird and shot with arrows thanks to his former lover, wildling Ygritte. For his season 4 debut, he says, "My face is not OK. It’s far from OK! I have to have scars this season .... Then obviously I’ve been shot in the back with arrows, so, that hurt."
Haha gotta love him. Read on for more, but warning, SPOILERS AHEAD.
Kit was particularly chatty but of course didn't give too much away when it comes to exactly what happens to his character. "He’s a bit in the wars, old Jon Snow. And it doesn’t get any easier this season,” Kit told Access Hollywood. “It’s kind of high-octane, action-packed .... I’m asking to keep one of [the scars]. In the books he’s got a scar that runs [down his face], and so [one] side is going to disappear, but on [one] side I’m gonna have a scar. I thought that would look quite sexy. They’re quite sexy if done in the right way."
Jon Snow's scarred face is going to look sexy? I guess we'll take it?
But then again:
Kit also says there will be "more deaths this season than any other!" Of course he won't say who dies, but SPOILERS, the biggest one will involve someone you will be very happy to see go. Kit also quipped, "They’ve realized that’s a successful option, so they’re just killing more people than they’ve ever killed."
Seems like the show will end with a barren Westeros since everyone's going to be killed off when you come right down to it, huh?
Since this is Game of Thrones, Kit also said there will be "plenty of sex." Okay, so we'll probably see Jaime and Cersei hook up, ugh, but what about Jon's seemingly doomed, forbidden wildling romance? "Rose, who plays Ygritte, we’re as close to a love story as you get in the show," he said. "You have to follow that up and see what happens this season."
SO unhelpful, Kit!
Well, if the show follows A Storm of Swords at all, sadly Ygritte dies during a battle while in Jon Snow's arms -- doesn't seem like there will be much sex for Jon. But expect to see him to take the lead during said battle and get very involved with Stannis Baratheon, who gives him an option he'll find very difficult to turn down.
More sex, violence, and deaths on Game of Thrones season 4? Thanks for the tease, Kit, we can't wait to see what happens!
Are you excited for Game of Thrones season 4? What do you want to see happen to Jon Snow?
