Bethenny Frankel & Jason Hoppy Show How They Really Feel About Each Other in Court

OMG 25

bethenny frankelI'm sorry to report, Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy relations appear to be at an all-time low. It's a bit chilly between these two battling parents. How chilly? Glaciers impervious to global warming chilly. Avoiding eye contact chilly. Yeah, it's that bad. According to a witness, when Jason and Bethenny met in court the other day they couldn't even bring themselves to look each other in the eyes.

The witness says,

They completely avoided eye contact and communication despite being within three feet of each other. As Bethenny made her way past Jason, he put his head down and busied himself on his phone. He couldn't bring himself to look at her.

When they were finally dismissed after an hour and a painful half they both got out in a hurry -- especially Bethenny, the source says.

Ooh, avoiding eye contact. That is one of the biggest signs of repressed contempt there is. That's what you do when you know just looking at someone is going to set off a nuclear warhead. I'm so sorry it's still this bad. It's been a year and things are still so tense between these two. Poor Bryn! Jason and Bethenny are supposed to be co-parenting. They were supposed to stay friends.

Is there just too much money at stake for Bethenny and Jason to reach harmony?

I don't know what it's going to take to get these two to stop hating each other. Maybe the damage is permanent. I can see how it could take several months for a divorcing couple with children to heal their wounds and move forward. But this? Time does not seem to be healing anything at all.

And if time isn't changing anything, I don't know what else could. Maybe when Bryn is a little older she'll be able to say something that will melt her parents hearts. But until then, it looks like Bethenny and Jason are permanently frozen in frostville.

Do you think Jason and Bethenny will ever reconcile enough to at least be civil with each other?

Of course they will. Wounds are still raw. The fact they are in court doesnt help. Hopefuly they will bury the hatchett. It takes time. People need to understand this

"Repressed contempt" sure is a solid reason behind lack of eye contact. I have a strong gut feeling, though, that shame and regret may be why they can't look at each other. Perhaps time and the displays of absurd bitterness have given Bethenny and Jason the awareness that they really wish they could go back and do things differently. The thing is: THEY CAN! This is a case, in my opinion, where one person is going to have to bite the bullet, swallow heaps of pride and pain, and make a move. It will probably feel like a self-inflicted blow to open a door to respectful communication. But in the name of their daughter and their own ability to move forward, one of them has to say, "I am sorry for how badly I have handled this situation. I let my anger and disappointment get the best of me, and my claws came out. I hope that you can trust that I really do not want to be this way, and I want to move forward in a more respectful and understanding way." Just do it, one of you! Your own lives and the well-being of your daughter are at stake.

They better or that little girl will grow up one day have zero respect for either parent or person. She will see how rotten they are with each other and think its ok to treat people that way. It cracks me up how in love they were for the cameras but when the cameras stopped rolling they had to do this relationship with a kid alone, true colors came out and they couldn't handle it. So sad they feel this way about each other now.

You cannot look at each other when the truth comes out and is known and admitted cause now its worse than imagined--the saying "if it sounds too good to be true it is" that was Jason Hoppy before marriage --after marriage was another story entirely.

Maturity and generosity would go a long way here. I think we know by now Bethenny isn't capable of that. Sad for her daughter.

bethenny has some serious mental issues she should fire her therapist and look for a new one someone who can tell her to get off her high horse and quit making this all about ME ME ME. I like her husband he seems to really care for her but I think even an Angel couldnt live with Bethenny, She is always so gloom and doom and looking for the worse in people.  They both need to make this about their daughter not about them.

Bethenny is a Narcissist. It will sadly never happen for the sake of that precious child. Keep at it, Jason!
