Miley Cyrus Breaks Her Silence After VMAs & Manages to Make Herself Look Worse (PHOTOS)

Eye Roll 81

Miley CyrusIt's her mouth, she can say what she wants to. But if I were to offer Miley Cyrus some advice right now, it would be to shut that mouth of hers ... because everything coming out of it sounds absolutely ridiculous.

Case in point: Miley is finally opening up about her shocking VMA performance last week -- and despite all of the negative media attention she's received, she's still keeping her head up high.

A little too high if you ask me.

She starts off by comparing herself to pop legends like Britney Spears and Madonna:

I don't pay attention to the negative because I've seen this play out so many times. How many times have we seen this play out in pop music? Madonna's done it. Britney's done it. Every VMA performance, that's what you're looking for; you're wanting to make history.

The thing is, Britney and Madonna's performances were good. They were shocking and provocative, not cringe-worthy and embarrassing. There's a difference, Miley. There's a big difference.

And apparently "making history" was something Miley had planned even before going on stage with Robin Thicke.

Me and Robin the whole time said, "You know we're about to make history right now."

Make history? Hmm, not quite. I think Justin Timberlake made history that night. *N SYNC perhaps made history that night. But Miley Cyrus dry-humping a foam finger? I don't think so.

What's scary is all of this attention Miley's getting, despite being negative, is only fueling her future performances. I'm starting to get legitimately worried about what she's going to do next. Who will be her next victim? Is it you? Is it me? Nobody is safe anymore. I mean, just look at the photos that have come out since Miley's televised twerking.

She can't stop ...

She won't stop ...

And of course, my personal favorite ...

Like, what? No! This is NOT okay.

I'm not surprised. This is what happens when you grow up surrounded by people who tell you that everything you do is awesome and wonderful, and that your very existence is a gift to the rest of the world. It becomes inconceivable that your actions could just be flat-out idiotic.

It's also what happens when we, as a society, reward the person who's willing to make the biggest ass of themselves rather than actual talent and contribution.

Oh my gosh. The VMAs were over a week ago. Its time to move on and get over it. Miley has said in many interviews that she is f'd up and she's aware of her issues. Honestly, every day on this site is another article blasting Miley and its pathetic. You're all adults and constantly picking on a 20 year old. You guys are giving her more attention and you're basically encouraging her. Just stop.

Doesn't she realize that a lot of young people are laughing at her.  My grandson is 21 and  him and his

friends think she is a joke and still make fun of her. They don't care how much money she has. I did not

ask my grandson about this he volunteered the info.

Does anyone really think Miley herself thought she was being sexy? I'm pretty sure that she knew she was going to be "outrageous," but I don't think anyone thought it was sexy. And Madonna and Britney did "outrageous" things for the sake of publicity, too. It really is nothing new. Don't like her? Don't watch. Think she's getting too much attention? Stop writing articles about her. But stop acting like what she is doing is the end of the world, because for some of us, we watched it and promptly said, "meh," and moved on with our lives. Also, she's a very pretty girl with no responsibilities, a buttload of cash, and nothing else to do but play dress up on social media. How anyone's surprised about this is beyond me.

She's not Hannah Montana anymore. Leave her alone. She's doing it for publicity and like someone else said I highly doubt she thinks it's sexy. She's drawing attention to herself on purpose. And really I mean.. who cares? She's not your problem. Don't like it? Don't watch it. I haven't seen it to be honest.. because I don't care. Let her do what she wants. In the end she'll just become another star in the dust of fame or she will end up like Amanda bynes..

Deranged lunatic, are the first words that came to mind when I happened to stumble upon this 'performance'. She is not a musician, she is not an artist, she is a puppet and you all are pulling the strings. She knows nothing different though, so it's really not that surprising. She's like a trained seal that responds to attention, period. Doesn't matter if it's good or bad.
