For the past week or so, we've heard how difficult it's been for the Glee cast to come together and film the Cory Monteith tribute episode entitled "The Quarterback". Despite the challenges of mourning their lost friend and costar, Gleeks are joining together from seasons past to make this episode everything it can be. Yup, according to E! Online, several of the original cast members are set to return for the tribute.
Are we looking forward to seeing the gang back together? Of course. But it hurts my heart to think about the reason they're reuniting. Just how people come together after years apart because of a lost loved one in the real world, that's what we'll see happening on Glee. It's eerie. But it's right.
Find out which one of your favorite Glee club members will be returning for the Cory Monteith tribute episode, here:
Harry Shum Jr. (Mike Chang)
Mark Salling (Puck)
Jayma Mays (Emma Pillsbury)
Amber Riley (Mercedes Jones)
Romy Rosemont (Carole Hudson-Hummel, Finn's mother)
Mike O'Malley (Burt Hummel, Finn's dad)
Dot-Marie Jones (Coach Beiste)
Of course, it's natural to wonder about the cast members who reportedly won't be joining for the episode: Heather Morris and Dianna Agron. I can kind of understand why Heather wouldn't show up. Considering she's pregnant, that could be a difficult thing to write into the storyline.
... But Dianna? I can't help but wonder what her deal is, especially considering her character dated Finn. According to Wetpaint, Agron is in NYC with a friend while the rest of the cast films in Los Angeles.
Who knows. All these rumors don't necessarily mean that either star won't have a quick spot in the October 10 episode. We'll just have to wait and see.
