Khloe Kardashian May Be Trying to Save Lamar Odom From Scary Drug Problem

GossipMonger 7

khloe kardashianRumors surrounding Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom's rocky marriage are now flying at warp speed. After weeks of buzz about infidelity, not to mention Khloe stepping out without her wedding rings today, comes word that the Kardashians may have even bigger fish to fry than we thought.

Multiple sources familiar with the situation claim Odom has had a drug problem for the past two yearsTMZ reports. Two sources tell RadarOnline that the NBA player's main vice is the prescription narcotic OxyContin. He even went to rehab last August under pressure from the Kardashian clan but only stayed for about three weeks and while he stayed clean afterward and was able to play well for the Clippers this past season, sources say Lamar slipped deep back into hardcore recreational drugs. And that's why the family reportedly staged an unsuccessful intervention this past Wednesday.

An insider tells TMZ, “Lamar does not want to go to rehab because pre-season training camps are just around the corner." Ugh.

And by the way, Khloe reportedly believes Lamar was cheating recently, but she's currently zeroed in on the drug problem. One source explained, "Khloe is more concerned about saving Lamar than ending her marriage."

If ANY of this is true, WHAT a nightmare Khloe's going through right now. And as for how likely it seems that it is true, well, TMZ has photos of Lamar packing up his car, which they say occurred after Khloe threw Lamar out of the house ... So I guess we're left to draw our own conclusions ... But if Lamar really is battling addiction, let's hope has the sense to clean up his act before it's too late for his marriage or his well-being.

Do you think there could be truth to these drug rumors?

No.  If he has been abusing hardcore drugs for the past two years, the NBA would know about it.  The players go through random drug testings all the time.  If he went to a club one night and did drugs then there is a tiny tiny chance that no one would ever find out about it, but if it has been consistent for the past two years we wouldn't just be finding out about it now because Lamar would have been dropped by his team the second one of those tests came back positive for any drug.

Seems to me like Lamar and Khloe are about to divorce and the Kardashians are spinning this all in their favor.  This is a total smear campaign.

Oh, no--so sad, if true. i have been firmly ensconced in the "Lamar did NOT cheat" camp; I can, however, believe the drug story. The guy has been under signifcant pressure for the past couple of years, what with team-changing, family issues, and marrying into a public family. Not excuses, but likely triggers for trying to find a way to escape. If he is out of the house, I imagine that is "tough love" talking, and I pray it works. Stay strong, Khloe.

Well if he has legal prescriptions to oxy ( weather hes abusing tge drug or legitimately needing it for pain, which really only cancer patients need oxy in continious basis and not even all of them are prescribed it) even if he is drug tested, all he needs to say is hey, I have rx for it, im taking it as directed by a dr. Doesnt mean hes not abusibg it and being addicted to it though but its easier to get away abusing rx drugs than street drugs in a drug test.

This is sad news, you can abuse these opiates and still be clean when drug tested, opiates can be cleaned out in time for a test. I delt with my husband a veteran now, get sucked into eating pills and destroying his military career. Hats off to you for standing behind him instead of

Its a long road but the chance to save your marriage is a plus.

First it was crack cocaine, now iit's Oxycotin, I don't believe any of this for a minute. This is just the Kardastrashin, trying to shine the light on him, and away from the fact the he wants out. The NBA would have founded out two years ago.  Lamar should sue them all for slandering his name, this is just one big, big mess.  I hope he get out soon.  Doc Rivers would not be trying to sign Lamar to a new contract if this was  a fact.  I hope he get away before they distroy his basketball career with these stories of drug use.  If he had been to a rehab for three weeks,  the paparazzi would have been altered and we would have pictures of him and the guard Kloe supposely hired to make sure he didn;t leave the facility.

Oxy is a prescribed med so if the NBA knew he was taking it there would not be an issue.. Tests do not measure amounts..only if it is in the system..Therefore, he could abuse it without the drug tests showing it. Also, oxy has the same effect once ingested on the brain as Heroin...Therefore the brain and the body does not differentiate if it's being fed Oxy, legal and prescribed...or Heroin..Illegal.. And no..nothing is going to help him but a long stay in rehab..His brain chemisrty..if it's true he's on Oxy..has already changed, meaning he is incapable of going thru life on a day to day basis without it. Brain chemistry actually changes!!! That is why so many addicts will choose the street and their drug over Family and friends!!! The brain chemistry will never return to normal, but so far studies suggest some of the damage may be reversed...But threats will not make him or anyone who is addicted quit. They literally can't that's like saying to a cancer patient  "If you loved me you'd quit having Cancer." Once people realize that then maybe their addicted love ones can get real help.
