Katt Williams certainly keeps us guessing. If you recall, the comedian made all sorts of headlines late last year for a series of bizarre antics including slapping a Target employee and speeding away on a motorized tricycle. Now he's in the news again, but this time it's for something much more virtuous.
According to TMZ, he was performing in Boston Sunday when someone on his security team saw a wheelchair-bound woman crying in the audience. She said she was crying "tears of joy" -- the first of such she'd cried since doctors let her know she needed a new kidney.
The team took her backstage to meet Katt, and after hearing her story he left the room for a few minutes. When he returned, he had something most unexpected for her. She reportedly thought he was handing her a bag of weed (he does have quite the reputation), but it was actually something much better.
It was a note that read, "God never leaves," and along with it was $1,000 in cash. How cool is that?
Sometimes we watch stars spiral out of control in front of our eyes like Amanda Bynes. We gasp as they make headline after erratic headline, and it doesn't usually end well. In Katt's case, however, maybe this means he's back on the right track. Maybe having his children taken away last year, and all of the arrests were a wake up call for him. We can hope anyway.
Worst case scenario is that it's just another of his erratic, rash decisions, but it certainly made this woman's day, so it's all good any way you look at it. Way to go, Katt.
