'Bachelor' Star Gia Allemand Hospitalized & On Life Support After 'Serious Emergency Medical Event'

Gia AllemandIn tragic news tonight, Gia Allemand, who previously starred on season 14 of The Bachelor and seasons 1 and 2 of Bachelor Pad, is in critical condition. According to a statement from ABC, she was admitted to a New Orleans hospital "following a serious emergency medical event."

There aren't many details at this time, so of course the questions are rampant about what could have happened to the vibrant 29-year-old gorgeous model we remember watching. Melinda Farina, who is reportedly Gia's best friend, did share just how serious the situation is via Twitter. 

@GiaAllemand is on life support w little pulse and barely breathing ..cause unknown ..next 48 hours critical please pray for Gia everyone

I'm so sad about my best friend right now...how could this have happened to such an incredible person..she needs to come out of it!

Everyone I will keep you posted if I hear anything further right now it's not good-we all need to stay positive though she's tiny but strong.

So it sounds really bad. Bachelor alumni have been expressing their get well wishes for Gia over Twitter as well, including this tweet from Jake Pavelka that reads: "Please pray for @GiaAllemand... A dear friend and one of the sweetest women I know... ."  Ali Fedotowsky tweeted: "Please keep @GiaAllemand in your thoughts today. She's in critical condition. That's all I know. Love you Gia."

Gia's mother, as well as her boyfriend, NBA player Ryan Anderson, are with her. They released a statement stating that at this time, they need privacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.
