I've got to hand it to Bachelorette contestant Brooks Forester. I'm pretty sure he's the only guy in Bachelor history to make a girl cry THAT much on television and still walk away with a good reputation.
We just can't hate him -- he's really a nice dude. But still, as a viewer, I have so many questions. Like, why did he really go home? Was he actually in love? What's Chris Harrison really like in person? (Okay, maybe we can leave that last one out.)
Well, lucky for us, Brooks is finally answering these grueling questions. The only problem? There's a good chance Desiree's heart will break all over again when she hears them.
I realized that when I was away from Des, I wasn't having these moments of anguish. That was a big indicator to me that my feelings weren't there.
Ouch, it's bad enough that he left her so late in the competition, but to know all along his feelings weren't there? That just adds salt to the wound. Lucky for Des, though, he eventually realized she deserved more than he could give her.
I needed to walk away. She deserved to be in love with someone who was equally in love with her. I made the right decision.
And it sounds like Brooks is taking a break from finding love all together -- at least on television. Sources confirm he was actually asked to be the next Bachelor but he turned it down! Apparently the process is "emotionally taxing" and it's clearly not something he'd be willing to try. Oh well, guess we'll just have to settle for hunky Juan Pablo!
What do you think of Brooks' confession? Do you think it will hurt Desiree to hear this?
