While she's no Lucy Hale, Alexis Bledel, or even Emilia Clarke, Amanda Seyfried's name has been thrown about as a potential contender to play Anastasia Steele. There's no question the former Mean Girl would be able to pull off any role at this point. She's definitely got the acting chops ... and guts to take on the risque role. Consider the fact that Amanda's most recent gig in the Linda Lovelace biopic, as the famous Deep Throat porn star, required her to get real about nudity and sex scenes.
While filming sex scenes with multiple male costars, including Peter Sarsgaard and Adam Brody, wasn't a problem for the actress, she recently confessed at a press conference for the film that she's a bit freaked out by one aspect of the flick: her dad seeing her nude!
I don't want my dad to see my naked body ever. I'm going to sit through [the screening] tonight and cover his eyes. It's really only the nudity. I don't have problems with him seeing me in violent situations. In sexual situations, it's a little tough, but it's more just the nudity. I think anybody can relate to that.
It's true ... and although this sounds like it could be something that may potentially hold her back from playing Ana, I'm guessing the opposite is true. Any actress who steps into that role is going to have to be okay with loved ones seeing her in, er, compromising positions and states of dress on the big screen. To her credit, Amanda clearly already understands that -- and is going to have to kinda get over it a bit with the premiere of Lovelace.

Plus, she's gotten used to the pressures that go along with shooting ultra-sexy scenes. Sarsgaard told reporters of his co-star:
I had total trust and faith in Amanda. I remember first meeting her and, you know, a lot of people talk about her being brave and everything, but I also saw that she was really going to put herself in the role in a complete way, and I thought, "Alright, I'll meet you there." ... I mean, you choreograph scenes like that more than you choreograph other scenes. You don't usually just say, "One, two, three, go!" You figure out what happens. Who's on top? Who's on bottom?
And Brody made it clear that she was a complete professional, noting to Us Weekly:
Everything you do is awkward for 20 minutes, and then you're doing it for 12 hours. ... She's great. She's the easiest person to work with, and she's incredibly talented.
Sounds like people in the know have nothing but warm, fuzzy remarks for Amanda's sex scene-on-the-big-screen prowess. That said, when it comes to her shot at Ana, she could actually be a shoo-in!
Do you think the way Amanda is handling the Lovelace role makes her a better candidate to play Ana?
