While we're not exactly sure what's in store for Desiree Hartsock come The Bachelorette finale, it's clear that dating 25 men at once has taught her a thing or two about the love game. I mean, let's hope so. Being the Bachelorette is probably the biggest (frightening) crash course in romance that a woman can have! A fan recently asked what Desiree's secret to attracting men is, and her answer actually makes a ton of sense.
"Love and be yourself," Desi replied. "Know your worth, let him pursue, don't be desperate, confidence is key."
Confidence, eh? Not being desperate? Yeah, I'm definitely going to agree with this one. It may not always be easy to execute, but there's nothing more attractive than a woman with her game face on.
Men can sense desperation from a mile away. If they sense that you're desperate, whether it's looking to be in a relationship or just looking to get a little somethin' somethin', they're not going to treat you well (or at least that's what I've found in my experience). Sure, they may treat you a certain way to get what they want out of it, but at the end of the day, a man knows he doesn't have to try that hard if you're already willing to put in 110 percent.
So that's where the confidence comes in. A confident woman doesn't allude to what she wants right off the bat and never seems desperate. In my past, I've found that letting a man come after you, like Desi suggests, immediately makes him more interested. Of course there's something to be said about that forward kind of confidence, but when it comes down to it, we all love the chase. Like Desi indicates -- be your biggest advocate without being too boastful, and you may be pleasantly surprised at the kind of response it gets in the dating world.
Do you find confidence an attractive quality?
