It's hard to know what's going on with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez these days. Just when we thought they were done for good, and Justin had even moved on with a married waitress -- zoinks! They were back posting couplies on Twitter. But it's not hard to tell what once was. Because Selena seems to have written an entire song about the way they were -- complete with a Justin Bieber voicemail. Well, it might be Justin. Kinda sounds like him. But did Justin ever say stuff like this?
Hey babe it's me, I just wanted to call to tell you that I love you so so so so much. Just wanted to let you know that you are my princess. You are worthy of all of the love in the world. You are the love of my life.
Hard to believe he could ever be so romantic and coherent, right?
The song, "Love Will Remember," was leaked before its release. I'm not an expert on what the Biebs sounds like over voicemail, but from what I remember that one time he called me a few years ago (har!), it does sound like him. You be the judge. (PS: the person who put up the video says she "pitched" Bieber's voice -- whatever that means -- so that it won't get pulled from YouTube. Which it will. Probably soon. So listen now!)
And the lyrics certainly sound like they're being spoken to someone Selena loved:
We used to be inseparable, I used to think that I was irreplaceable. We lit the whole world up, before we blew it up. I still just don't know, how we screwed it up
You said you love me, I said I loved you back/What happened to that, what happened to that/All your promises, and all them plans we had/What happened to that, what happened to that
What did happen to that?! TELL ME DAMMIT!!! Oh wait, sorry, I was talking to someone else for a minute.
Well, if that was Biebs on the voicemail, then it's easy to see why Selena keeps going back. What woman doesn't want to hear the words "you are my princess"? Even if, you know, you scoff at them and say something like, "Excuse me, I'm nobody's princess, I'm an emancipated, voting, self-sufficient woman." But deep down, yer all like, Awwww. Hun.
That said, should Selena have used Biebs' voicemail -- if it's him? I'm generally not in favor using private communication without permission. But the kids don't seem to mind it. It's expected in that generation. A teen wouldn't bother to leave a voicemail unless he thought it would end up online.
Do you think she used Justin's voicemail? Do you think that's right?
