Well folks, I guess we're really getting down to the wire. It feels like this season of The Bachelorette has only been on for, like, a week, and already Desiree Hartsock is getting ready to take her four remaining dudes on hometown dates.
When the heck did that happen? Seriously, didn't the show just premiere? (Time flies when you're indulging in your weekly guilty pleasure and escaping from reality.)
Ok, back to the guys Des deemed worthy of meeting their families on next week's episode. It really wasn't a huge shocker that she sent Michael home. There was absolutely ZERO chemistry between them, but you gotta admit -- it was kind of sad when he called his mom in tears from the limo to tell her he got dumped. (Poor dude.)
And that leaves Brooks and Chris, who are both totally hot, normal, and adorable -- and Zak W., who is nice enough, but just doesn't seem to have a true connection with Desiree. Oh yeah, and then there's Drew. Good grief. Yeah, he's a sweet dude and all, but something just seems ... off.
Even though the previews for next week's show make it look like his hometown date goes perfectly, other Bachelorette sneak peeks make it look like he winds up leaving the show earlier than expected -- and not because Desiree doesn't give him a rose. You see where I'm going with this, right?
Drew totally has a secret. And I'm willing to bet he either has a girlfriend we don't know about, or that he's gay and it took "falling" for Des to make him realize it. (Don't lie. That possibility has crossed your mind more than once too.) Twitter was practically going nuts tonight with questions about Drew's sexuality -- yet another reason we shouldn't be at all shocked if things with him and Des don't quite work out as planned.
Or maybe he's just trying to land a career in showbiz or something, and he's playing Des like a fiddle to get there. Something isn't quite what it appears to be with him -- I just can't put my finger on it quite yet.
But whatever it is, hopefully Des will figure it out before it's too late.
Do you think Drew is the man for Desiree?
