'Real Housewives of Oklahoma City' Is Just What the Franchise Needs (VIDEO)

real housewives of okcMove over Real Housewives of Orange County, The Real Housewives of Oklahoma City might be coming for you. A Los Angeles producer was in the Sooner state this week putting together a sizzle reel for Bravo -- Annette Latham thinks these OKC women have what it takes to make a compelling Housewives franchise.

One look at the local news coverage of the event and Real Housewives vets might turn their nose up at these aspiring reality TV stars.

Where's the drama? Where's the exceptionally good-looking women with age-defying, gorgeous bodies? Where's the money? And most of all, where's the personality.

They all just seemed so normal, which is to say, they seemed really dull. Most normal people do not make great reality TV (hello, Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock) -- they need to have a special strain of narcissism to be a great TV personality. In this short clip, we see lovely women with successful careers, loving husbands, and wonderful children.

Yawn.

I'm all for a Real Housewives of Oklahoma City, the franchise could use a new location, but please, if we're going to do this, let's do this right. I need a rope-swinging OKC bitch versus an oil-money moron. If Kelly Bensimon and Bethenney Frankel taught us anything, it's that the more different these women are from one another, the better.

And yeah, if we could get Carrie Underwood on the show, that'd be everything.

Andy Cohen? I hope you're listening.

What do you think of the possibility of The Real Housewives of Oklahoma City?
