This pop-star dream could work out, after all. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga is performing this Fourth of July in Orlando, Florida. The married mom of three has previously performed on stage in her home state of New Jersey, but now it would seem that Melissa's appeal is growing beyond the gates of the dirty Jerz. No word yet on what she'll be singing (maybe her new single "Never Let Me Go" will be on the set list?), but one thing's for certain -- Melissa's in the big leagues now. The concert's lineup is pret-ty legit.
Along with Ms. Gorga, the Jonas Brothers are performing at the Red, White & Boom festival. Same goes for Hot Chelle Rae, MKTO, and Stefano.
It's hard to tell whether this is a step down for the Jonas Brothers or a step up for Melissa Gorga, but there's sure to be a lot of fun, tween-centered music on stage that night to celebrate our nation's independence.
There's one question on everyone's mind, though. Any fan of RHONJ will know that Melissa's been accused of lip syncing during her live performances. It was her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice's raison d'etre to prove that Melissa was singing along to a track, so it'll be interesting to hear whether or not she sings live on Thursday.
If she doesn't, I have a feeling the Giudices will let us know allllll about it.
But Melissa's critics should cut her a break. It could be way worse. She could've sang/talked a song about manners or made an auto-tuned track about being late to a party.
