Kanye West has delivered ... his new album, Yeezus. And to promote the project, which is filled with misogynistic, controversial lyrics, the new father's got a new promo that's a play on a flick with misogynistic, controverisal themes: American Psycho. As if that wasn't enough to pique your interest, Kanye's cast Scott Disick as the Patrick Bateman-esque character and Jonathan Cheban in the place of Patrick's colleague, Paul Allen. And yes, it's as insane, horrible, laughable, and horrifying as you might imagine.
I have to be honest -- like many others, I've always seen Scott Disick as Patrick Bateman! If anyone were to attempt to reprise Christian Bale's performance as the sex-, murder-, and Huey Lewis-obsessed investment banker, it would be his lookalike Scott, right? But OMG, that assumption neglects to acknowledge one major thing ...
Scott Disick cannot act -- at all.
Watching him attempt to is cringe-worthy. At least he's playing someone nutso, so he's got that going for him. And, to be fair, he does get an A for effort. See for yourself ... (WARNING: Probably NSFW. Gets kinda loud and bloody at one point.)
Wow, after watching that, I wonder if this is proof that Kardashian reality TV is actually more real than we thought? After all, it must be at least somewhat real for Scott -- and yeeeeze, Jonathan, too! -- to pull it off. Because being a master thespian is definitely NOT their forte.
What do you think of the Kanye promo? How do you think Scott did in Patrick Bateman's shoes?
