Maria Menounos is big Boston Celtics fan. Like a huge, obnoxious, screaming fan who just can't control herself when she's at a game, and she has no shame in it. Fans of the opposing team aren't always fans of Menounos though, and she recently revealed a hilarious account of how one extremely famous Lakers super fan -- Jack Nicholson -- tried to teach her a lesson.
Last night she told the story on "Conan" about what went down when Nicholson "mafiaed" her at Game 6 of the Lakers vs. Celtics NBA Finals game in 2010. She said she and Dane Cook were sitting courtside, as they were at most of the games. Then all of sudden, the fun came to an abrupt halt.
I'm wearing my Celtics gear, I'm screaming, going crazy — and I get booted! These guys come and pull us out of courtside! I'm like, 'What is going on?'
She didn't get booted completely out of the game, just out of her cushy seats, but she didn't know why ... until she saw Nicholson.
... all of a sudden Jack Nicholson comes out of the bathroom and he's like 'Heh, heh, heh ... I see they moved your seat. He got me kicked out! I heard later he called (late Lakers owner) Jerry Buss and had me removed! I just got mafia-ed! This is not right!
Maybe not right, but what a great prank to pull. I suppose when you're rich and powerful you can pull those off as you please. It didn't do anything to squash her enthusiastic antics, however, and she still roots as loud and proud as ever. Watch her describe here how she tries to get into players' heads.
What she's missing in technique, I suppose she makes up for in enthusiasm? What do you think of Jack Nicholson's prank on Maria Menounos -- funny or childish?
