Ozzy OsbourneOzzy and Sharon Osbourne have certainly had their ups and downs -- more downs lately as reportedly the two split for awhile after Ozzy admitted that he'd relapsed in his drug use and apologized for his "insane" behavior to his family. Sharon came out and said, "Am I happy? No. Am I upset? Yes, I am. I'm devastated right now." While it didn't seem like the two were ready to divorce, it appears they took a break and reports had it that Sharon was refusing to return to the homestead until she was sure that Ozzy had cleaned up his act. But recently a TMZ photographer caught Ozzy coming out of a grocery store and asked him how things were going with Sharon. His answer is illuminating -- if not a little disturbing.

Asked how things are with Sharon, Ozzy replied, "Fantastic!" But then it sounds like he says, "It's great, there never was a problem."

Uhh, 'scuse me?

Granted, it can't be expected that Ozzy is going to stop and suddenly spill his guts to some dude from TMZ thrusting a camera in his face. But he could have stopped at "fantastic." Or he could have said nothing.

But an addict saying, "There never was a problem" sounds too much like what an addict would say. Obviously, there was a problem. Sharon has made that clear. But maybe in Ozzy's addled mind, there never was a problem? Or never a big one? Or maybe he's forgotten that Sharon told everyone there was a problem and that he publicly apologized for causing it?

This couple have been married for 30 years and I think everyone is pulling for them -- though they're certainly not a couple who have never seen tough times. Actually, that's putting it mildly. Ozzy has admitted to once trying to kill Sharon. Most women would have run and been correct to do so. But miraculously they went on to be one of the world's most enduring couples.

However, if Ozzy isn't going to even admit there was a problem, that's bad news. Hopefully he's admitting it in private if not in front of some paparazzo. If not, Sharon would be right in not standing for it and moving on.

At any rate, it sounds like the two are still together -- at least according to Ozzy.

Do you think Ozzy and Sharon will stay together?
