Bruno Mars' Tribute to Mother Makes Her Unexpected Death Even Harder (VIDEO)

Michele Zipp Heartbreaking

bruno marsBruno Mars makes some happy, get your feet moving kind of music. Locked Out of Heaven -- sing it loud, for so loooooong! And we can't forget the 4-year-old who sang his song When I Was Your Man on Ellen. He sings about love and women a whole lot. But the most favorite woman in his life passed away -- his mother.

Bernadette Hernandez was just 55-years-old. She suffered a heart attack on May 31st and died after a brain aneurysm on June 1st, while at Queens Medical Center in Honolulu. Bruno was very close with his mother and this unearthed video of a 4-year-old Mars singing "I love you Mom" will most certainly bring a tear to your eye.

How adorable is Bruno? And how hard this must be for the whole family -- he has five siblings. Hearing his sing "I love you Mom, you are my favorite girl" and "My mommy helps me with my voice because a superstar singer is my first choice" just shows that love and support she gave him over the years.

It's so terribly sad -- she was so young -- and it makes me want to make sure my loved ones know how much I love them because you never know.

My thoughts and prayers are with Bruno Mars and his family during this very difficult time.

Do you have a close bond with your family like Mars does?
