Hold on to your stilettos and mini body-con dresses, Brandi Glanville. This here news is going to send you for a loop. Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes are getting their own show. Probably. LeAnn recently told People: "We're doing a TV show based on our reality. We'll take things out of our lives and elaborate them and make them funny. People have been laughing at us -- we want them to laugh with us!"
Nothing is set in stone yet, but the country singer said that the show -- which, oddly, she claims would be scripted -- is so she and Eddie can "take control of their lives again".
I'd watch. And laugh. At them. Probably.
Truth be told, I'm getting tripped up on this whole "scripted series" thing. I don't think anyone considers LeAnn Rimes or Eddie Cibrian to be two of the great thespians of our time. Sure, they met while "acting", but why would they go that route? People are interested in them for their scandal, notoriety, and public Twitter fights. If they did a reality show, it'd go off like gangbusters. What's with the scripted garbage, Meryl Streep and Robert De Niro?
Regardless of whether or not their show is scripted or reality, one thing is for sure: This news will send Brandi Glanville into a drinking and tweeting and face-burning tailspin. You know girlfriend loves being the only one on television out of this dysfunctional trio. An Eddie and LeAnn show has the potential to sway people over to Team Cibrian/Rimes. Right now, everyone is all about Brandi -- and that's because we hang out with her every Monday night when Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is airing.
And lastly. Even though I do love/hate Brandi, and clearly this Eddie/LeAnn feud has become fun for her, I have to say: Who wants to watch her ex-husband and the woman he left her for on television. I mean, it's bad enough she has to see photos of them on Twitter and in the tabloids. Actual video? That might be a bit too much. Even for Brandi.
What do you think of this? Would you watch?
