Henry Cavill’s New Confession Proves He’d Make the Perfect Christian Grey (VIDEOS)

Henry CavillSome of you just can't see it, but I think Henry Cavill is one of the hottest-looking men in existence right about now. I've sadly felt this way ever since 2002, when he played Albert Mondego in The Count of Monte Cristo, and now he's going to become a household name playing Superman in Man of Steel. To hype up the upcoming June 14 release date, Henry gorgeously graces the cover of Details magazine and opens up in the sweetest, most endearing way.

Cavill -- which "rhymes with travel," he says -- admitted that he had issues of his own growing up. "I was fat," he confesses. "I was Fat Cavill." Aww, poor kid! Then, while at boarding school, he felt extremely homesick. "I bawled on the phone to my mom four times a day," he says. "I became an easy target."

Amazing how this once-bullied man grew up to become Superman, huh? All of this makes him so much more human and lovable. Which, of course, inevitably leads to ...

Oh come on, you knew it was coming. Obviously Henry would make the perfect Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie. Please, stop rolling your eyes, just look at the guy! And as we all know, any time a ridiculously hot white man is in the news, this inevitable connection is going to happen.

But he already seems to be channeling Christian even when discussing Superman. "My version of Superman," he goes on to say, "is essentially of a guy who has spent his whole life alone." Who better then to play the angsty, antisocial, unwilling-to-be-close-to-anyone protagonist of the popular novel that lots of people are starting to forget about?

On top of that, he also has the work ethic (and the body) to pull it off. It couldn't be any more perfect. "Henry's commitment was legendary," his costar, Amy Adams, told Details. "He would get up to work out at 3 every morning so he'd look right in the suit all day. His discipline is extraordinary."

Also, he doesn't seem opposed to being cast in the movie. Cavill talked to Details back in November 2012 about playing Christian: "Whether that happens, that decision will be made at the time it has to be made. It would be a very different kind of thing than Man of Steel," he said.

Regardless, that hard work definitely paid off in all of the Man of Steel trailers. Although many Fifty fans say the leading role is down to a contest solely between Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer, I have a feeling quite a few will change their minds after June 14.

Either way, here's a fan-made trailer starring Cavill and Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke. Cavill and Game of Thrones?? Two of my favorite things:

And just for the hell of it, here's a three-minute Man of Steel trailer:

Do you think Henry Cavill could pull off playing Christian Grey?
