Desiree Hartsock

Zzzzzz ... zzzzz. Oh, I'm sorry -- I accidentally fell asleep while watching the new Bachelorette trailer, which shows a sneak peek of Desiree Hartsock's season.

Ok, so I know the clip is only like 30 seconds long. But based on what it contains, it looks as though we probably shouldn't get our hopes up about this being the most dramatic season of The Bachelorette ever.

Although -- there is one dude who looks pretty hot with his shirt off.

Yeah, I figured that would at least pique your interest a tiny bit. Here's the clip. Watch, then let's discuss.

Are you still awake? (I'm not sure that I am.)

You gotta love that the first few minutes show her crying, even if it was just a replay from Sean Lowe's season. Though in the clip that was shown during one of the DWTS commercial breaks last night, it appears as though we'll see plenty of times where Desiree does the ugly cry. (She's good at it.)

And I'm just not getting into the whole bit about her not having a fairy tale life. Um, up until now, I guess that's true. Hello? She's The Bachelorette, for crying out loud, which is a freakin' fairy tale in itself. Regardless of whether or not she finds true love on the show, she'll be set for at least the next few years or so as far as making a name for herself goes. (Isn't that the only reason anyone goes on the show anymore in the first place?)

But who knows -- maybe Desiree's season will surprise us and turn out to be a real thriller, like Sean's did when Tierra LiCausi officially lost her mind. It was well worth watching from that point forward, so with any luck, one of Des's dudes will be even crazier than Tierra and give us all the dose of insane drama we deserve. (The guy who literally wore shining armor to meet her looks kinda promising.)

Based on the trailer, are you looking forward to this season of The Bachelorette?
