Lindsay Lohan Ruined the White House Correspondents' Dinner & 8 Other Things We Can Blame Her For

Eye Roll 13

Lindsay LohanHey, did you hear that Lindsay Lohan like totally ruined the White House Correspondents' Dinner? I know, you're like, the what, the who?! It's a big event that's held every year for journalists. I bet out of all the things Lindsay can legit be blamed for ruining -- her face, her career -- the WHCD probably wasn't the first thing that springs to mind. But according to Nightly News anchor Tom Brokaw, he's NOT going to this year's dinner because LiLo was at last year's. Harumphs Tom: "The breaking point for me was Lindsay Lohan. She became a big star at the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Give me a break."

Er, Tom seems a little out of it. Lindsay has been a star since she was about 12. Of course, she's more famous now for ruining things -- cars, relationships -- than acting, but still. Anyway, Tom has a point. Lindsay is responsible for the ruination of SO many things. Let's take a look at eight of them.

The economy. Politicos can debate over whether it was Bush or Obama who killed the economy, but we know it was LiLo. She hasn't had a hit movie since Mean Girls in 2004. Right around the time the economy tanked! Coinkidink? I think not!

Liz Taylor's Legacy. Liz & Dick. Need I say more?

The penal system. Does anyone take it seriously anymore given how many times Lindsay has escaped the clink?

The Wanted. Has it ever been the same since Linds hooked up with Max George?

The Parent Trap. That was such a cute movie, but now we all watch it in horror, knowing what's to come.

Alcohol-monitoring bracelets. Those things used to be so cool.

Saturday Night Live. Just that episode, really.

The environment. I'm sure she has something to do with it.

What else do you think Lindsay ruined?

Thank you, Chelsea. Seriously, i thought of this article as fun & satirical to the fact that Lindsay's screwed up more than she's made right.

He'd make a better case if he said there shouldn't be any hollywood stars there but he gives examples of some who he thinks are big enough!.   I don't know if demanding that only big name hollywood stars attend is the way to "dignify" an event that has nothing to do with them.

To answer the question, her career, other people's careers. Her life? If Tom Brokaw is really not going cause of Lindsay, then he needs to get a grip. And saying that she ruined the environment is like saying she ruined my life. Haha I realized it was a joke but seriously people, I agree, I would rather go over and read about Kate Gosselin's stupid fish dying than read about Lindsay Lohan one more time. I still love ya, Kiri! ;-)

Why is she still walking the streets. Shouldn't she be in rehab or in jail or something.

I thought this was kinda funny. Poor Linds. She has ruined so many things, yet her life is the biggest. She has never been a great actress, but she was so pretty, she would have made a damn good living just showing up in a film or two every year for a long, long time. People, thiis is why we need to monitor our own behavior and be good parents; so we don't make messes like her parents made. Her parents! Ugh. What scabs.
