'Fans' Tell Jenelle Evans to Kill Herself -- Who's the Monster Now?!

Jenelle EvansSigning up to a reality show means opening yourself up to criticism, especially when you're a member of the cast of Teen Mom 2. But there's a line between reasonable commentary and outright cruelty, and it has been crossed. Big time. After seeing Jenelle Evans talk about buying dope on TV, they're telling her to kill herself.

America, are you listening to yourself? You might think Jenelle Evans is a bad seed, but you've just gone way past anything she's done on MTV.

I don't agree with everything Jenelle has done in the years since we first saw her on 16 & Pregnant. Last night's Teen Mom episode in particular was upsetting with Jenelle and (now ex) boyfriend Kieffer's drug use.

But she's still a human being. She still deserves better than this.

We've seen a drastic rise recently in the number of people killing themselves as a result of online bullying. At this point, suicide is the 11th most common cause of death in America.

It's simply not a joking matter.

More From The Stir: 'Teen Mom' Star Finds Out Twitter Isn't Private -- Oops!

What happened to Jenelle last night, as people tweeted angry comments at her during the airing of the episode, was beyond the pale. Said one Twitter bully:

@PBandJenelley_1 kill yourself #dojaceafavor

Jace, of course, is her 3-year-old son. Needless to say, losing his mother, even a mom who doesn't have custody, would be an irreversible tragedy for this toddler.

Said another bully:

@PBandJenelley_1 you gonna cry and get some drugs now?

The tweets are cruel, but more to the point, they're not constructive. Jenelle may have opened herself up to criticism by taking money to be on a reality show, but this isn't criticism. It's bullying for bullying's sake. It's taking pleasure in someone else's pain.

The fact is, it is possible to criticize a reality star with valid commentary about the need of parents to stay sober and prioritize a child's needs, but until people remember there is a human being on the other end of a Twitter handle, it's not going to happen.

Before you say something to a reality star online, stop. Think. Is it something you would say to your best friend if she was screwing up? If it isn't, maybe you should just keep it to yourself.

Do you think Jenelle deserves these kind of comments for her actions, or is the cruelty getting out of hand?

Have you ever seen the comments section of any youtube video? Easily 30% of all comments are something along the lines of 'do kill yourself'. It's called trolling. This girl is hardly the only 'victim'.

The people who watch such reality TV shows are lacking in common sense so I'm not surprised that they behave this way.

It's uncalled for, but if the tweets that say "Jenelle, get sober and take care of your kid" haven't made her get sober and take care of her kid, I doubt she'll take these to heart either.

Sure there's a human at the other end of the twitter handle but there's impressionable human beings watching this TV show too.

If she CHOOSES to do this in public,  she does deserve to be publically shamed.   If you CHOOSE to bring a child into the world you better damn well be able and willing to take care of it.

The verbiage is obviously not acceptable or appropriate and they should be shamed for it too.    But the public is not her friend or family.     Her real friends and family (and the show people) should make sure she understands that and can handle it.

There is a difference between criticizing someone who has left themselves open to it and straight up bullying them. Bullies are COWARDS. Jenelle has had a lot of self-inflicted struggles, but it is no one's place to cast judgment on her. She is a human being. I'm willing to bet if she had more people showing her positivity, she would be more capable of kicking some of her bad habits. I don't condone her behavior, but I do feel sorry for her.

Who the hell cares as to is going on for the poor immature jenielle !!! People r getting tried of seeing this idiot on tv doing drugs , ranting and raving with her mother every time she steps though the damn door ! Like how many times does this child have to hit rock bottom before she realizes what the hell she is doing !!! Like come on already she has a child and married and has not even grown up yet !!! Like come on when is it going to clue into her tiny head of hers that needs to grow the fuck up and raise that damn child of hers and stop whining and bitching about everything because this child is going to suffer because of this behaviour of hers !!!

Me personally I think that this bitch needs to get fired off this show because she is no mother at all just a whiny spoiled bitch that's needs a reality check ASAP !!! Like come on already people r just tried of hearing shit from her all the time she needs to grow the fuck up and raise that damn child of hers instead of her mother !!! Her mother needs to be a grandma not a mother once again !!

I always go with if you wouldn't say it to a person's face don't tweet it or text it <3 I think Jenelle just has some growing up to do...she will get there but not with people talking like this to her.

Out of hand! Not only is jenelle an human being but she's one with a mental disorder bi-poler it is for some people that don't know or care, it's a mental disorder that can effect her every action. people with this disorder can switch their mood with the drop of a pin. Lay off and grow up! Also people with mental disorders are more likely to turn to drugs because they just want to get away from their mental disorder.  I hope things get better for Jenelle swhe is beautiful and can be strong and i hope her mom realizes she can't be so hard on her.
