'Vampire Diaries' Recap: Mystic Falls Goes to Prom

4

Tonight's episode of Vampire Diaries did not disappoint! In Mystic Falls, instead of focusing on Pre- and Post-Prom, the night was focused on Pre-Vampire Elena and Post-Vampire Elena. The gang is still trying to get Elena to turn back on her humanity, and why would that stop for Prom Night?

SPOILER ALERT. If you don't want to see what happens on tonight's episode, stop right here.

Caroline's Photo Yearbook of the Senior Class theme was frankly genius! Who doesn't get a little nostalgic while looking at old photos? Even I was starting to get a little misty eyed when looking at the photos of yesteryear with Elena, Jeremy, and Matt (yes, I may be too emotionally involved in this show).

As Stefan recounted what it felt like for him and Elena to dance together Pre-Vampire, there was definitely a far-off look in her eye. Dare I say that Elena was finally starting to feel something again (whether she wants to admit it or not)?

Now I don't know about you, but I am and always will be a die-hard Elena and Stefan fan. I mean, they are soul mates and obviously belong together (I'm just sayin'). So when I saw them on the dance floor, I could not be more excited!

With all this effort, I hope she gets her humanity back soon because this chick has completely gone off the deep end. I mean, she tried to kill Bonnie! That is two out of two best friends that she has attempted to kill (who does that?).

Honestly, I've never been a fan of Bonnie, and on many occasions, I have wished someone would finally off her, but I wasn't even happy when Elena tried to kill her tonight. I totally saw it coming, and it was truly anti-climactic. That should have been an OMG moment, and it just wasn't. Do you agree?

I am kind of over this version of Elena and ready to move on to the next story line. How about you?

What do you think of tonight's episode?
