It feels as though there hasn't been a new episode of Here Come Honey Boo Boo in years. Sure, there were a few "HOLLAday" specials over the winter, but that's just not enough for diehard fans. But turns out many fans are getting a daily dose of HBB on Facebook, where Mama June offers daily updates about what's going on with her country-bumpkin crew. Recently she sent out a Facebook plea that could reveal one of Honey Boo Boo's biggest problems in season 2.
Mama June announced to fans that her little pageant princess didn't have any really nice bows and needed to purchase some for Alana to wear on the show and while out and about for public appearances. Poor thing. I'm serious. That is a really big deal to a girly 8-year-old. Especially one who likes to get dolled up as much as Honey Boo Boo. To be honest, I am glad it's nothing more tragic. Not long ago, her father Sugar Bear was hospitalized with a serious illness. Thank goodness he is on the mend and all seems well with the entire family -- except for the lack of fancy bows, of course.
But she didn't go without for long. Fans didn't send recommendations for stores Mama could shop at, they sent bows. Tons of really beautiful, ornate hair ornaments. Leave it to Honey Boo Boo followers to always lend the little star a hand. It's really kind of sweet that she can rely on them at every turn. Just months ago, they helped her sell truckloads of Girl Scouts cookies. And while so many others love to criticize them, they can always turn to their FB family for a little love.
Just think, if she keeps this up, she could have an entirely new wardrobe in a few weeks. But I have to say, although they have much more than they did when the show debuted, not much else has changed about the TLC stars. They still live in the same dinky house and eat the same budget-friendly meals (Sketti anyone?). And Honey Boo Boo certainly seems appreciative of everything her fans do for her, taking photos and giving thanks on Facebook. She may be brash, but Mama certainly has her manners in check.
