BREAKING NEWS: Taylor Swift has been single for just over two months. I KNOW. It feels like an eternity, considering that the country songstress is notorious for her relationship addiction. It's obviously starting to affect her, so much so that she's getting all philosophical about her future in a recent interview for Wonderland magazine. Swift says:
"I know where I’ll be on tour in two months, but no idea where I’m going to be mentally, emotionally, dreams, goals, wishes, hopes. I have no idea if I’m going to get married or be single forever or have a family or just be on my own."
... Just over two months alone and Swift thinks she's going to be single forever? Girl -- take a chill pill.
I'll be honest: I understand how being single for the first time in a while can suck. You're so used to having someone to do things with, someone to plan weekends away with, someone to lay in bed with on a lazy Sunday until 2 p.m. watching Bacon Nation or whatever other goodies Food TV has to offer. It's hard to get over that companionship and the love you felt there, for THAT person. But you have to try for your sanity. Taylor, you CAN do it.
Sometimes you need to be single to realize exactly what you have to offer. When you're used to someone boosting you up all the time, it's easy to forget what those qualities are. You deserve to feel good about yourself with or without someone else's help. With all of this said, being single is NOT the end of the world.
So yes, while I understand Taylor's statement, well, it's just a little over-the-top. I'm very sure that as annoying as we joke about Taylor being all of the time with her never-ending relationship drama, she has a lot to offer. Heck, I won't even be surprised if we find out an hour from now she's got a new boo.
Have you ever felt like this?
